Looking for a place to stay while visiting the Misquamicut Beach area? Misquamicut Beach hotels are almost as numerous as the sand on the beach!

The hotels at Misquamicut Beach are located anywhere from right on the beachfront to a mile or less away from the beachfront. Sometimes, staying a bit away from the beach makes it a little less hectic if you aren’t a beach fanatic and don’t plan on spending your entire vacation on the beach, catching some sun or playing in the surf. If you prefer the sound of surf throughout the night, though, beachfront lodging is definitely what you want.

As of the time of this writing the major hotel chains still remain absent in the immediate Misquamicut Beach area. All of the hotels in the area are family-owned and operated or owned by local business owners and run by a seasonal staff. Many of them have been owned by the same family for decades, which lends a sort of stability to these establishments.

One major chain that has finally ventured into the nearby area is La Quinta. They recently built a brand new hotel in nearby Pawcatuck, CT. Even though it’s not in Misquamicut, it’s within a short drive of the state beach in Misquamicut.

One word of caution for anyone who plans on visiting the Misquamicut Beach area during the summer season, you need to know that hotels in this area book up fast and well in advance of the actual June-July-August tourist season. Planning your vacation during the winter months and making sure that you secure your hotel reservations well in advance is a wise move and will save you the headache of scrambling to find a place to stay when everything is full.
